Capriccio Club Mix  Click here to hear a sample of the Capriccio Club Mix
A tom-tom driven percussion lays the groundwork for this mix. An electric guitar sample is added as the bass kicks in. A second twangy guitar riff, which rips and dips, is complimented by some quiet violin licks. The vocals which are introduced have a slight echo, and are given an extra edge by a minor male voice. Capriccio bring in a freestyling xylophonist, before the breakdown signifies the start for a reptition of the verse. “ Everybody Get Up ” is not the hardest record which Defected have released, but it will undoubtedly raise a smile because the guitars are so infectious.

“ Everybody Get Up ” begins with crisp, prominent percussion accompanied with hand claps. Richard F spreads alien-sounding alarm 'drops' across the mix, although a rising and dipping wah-wah guitar loop takes centre stage. Slightly distorted vocals lie over warped piano stabs to form the introduction to the song, before everything explodes into life after the piano stabs snare into a breakdown.

Cover supplied by DJ Dusty.

Jazz-N-Groove Nu Disco Vocal  Click here to hear a sample of the Jazz-N-Groove Nu Disco Vocal
A driving saxophone bassline provides the undertone for Jazz-N-Groove's intepretation. Mellow piano keys spruce up the female vocals, which have been slowed down and sound slightly lethargic. Extra noise is provided by another piano loop, while the typical Defected percussion lies underneath. Jazz-N-Groove bring in harpsicord sounding samples to compliment the saxophone and piano as well as to keep interest in the sections without the vocal. A reasonable mix which isn't too hard and would be useful if a DJ wanted to bring down his or her set a little.
