Radio Edit
A flourish of drums kicks off the Radio Edit and then the kick drums form a solid base for the funky keys and guitar licks, which rise up through the mix. Upon reaching full volume, Kathy Brown's first verse is laid over the piano melody. Reaching a crescendo at the chorus, extra violins and quiet trumpet samples are added. Kathy's vocals are then removed during the bridge whilst the trumpets are given a small expansion. Warren Clarke drags everything back into earshot for the final moments of the track.

CF's Main Frame Dub
Tough bass drums and a cymbal loop are repeated for about 8 bars before some conga drum rhythms are dropped over the percussion. Cevin Fisher ploughs a set of low keys into the back of the mix and another layer of light percussion is thrown on top, as well as marginally noticable hand claps. Snippets of Kathy Brown's voice are woven in and out of the middle of the groove. More synthesiser notes are added and they become fully developed after the bridge, when the bass drum and low keys are removed and reapplied to move on the song again. Deliciously dark; a great balance of haunting yet dancable keys and snaking percussion.

ATFC Club Mix
Stock Defected beats are presented from the very beginning. Aydin move the waltzing voices up through the mix before dropping in a warm and complimentary piano loop. The skipping piano keys highlight Kathy Brown's somewhat separated soulful lyrics which seem under-stressed (they are not as raw as the original). Violins are used as a signal that Kathy is about to embark on subsequent verses and small amounts of effects are used as a tiny crescendo as a introduction to the chorus.

Spen & Karizma Dub Mix
Stomping bass and a signature percussion loop are unexpectedly removed before Spen and his remixing partner added a twisting, heavily strangled summery guitar riff. They filter everything out except the bass before the low-pass filter is kicked out. Reverbed vocals are used half-way through the track and then another layer of the female vocalist are added as the middle of the mix falls away. The blatant filter-orientated abuse of the guitar riff is quite intriguing, as are the echoed vocal segments which make Kathy Brown sound as those she is shouting in a shower amount several hundred metres in the distance.

A typical Defected drum loop opens this track. Added to the mix are warm piano keys, a filtered and equalised jazz guitar, snappy violin samples and some trumpets. Kathy Brown's vocals are powerful and direct and are laid over the groove for a short while before Warren Clarke builds up for the next breakdown with some finely sung verses. In a similar vein to his remix partner, ATFC, Clarke puts the vocal at the forefront of the song and finishes the track with a energetic trumpet loop taking over from the vocalist.

Spen & Karizma Club Mix
Spen and Karizma choose to use a piano chord over standard kick drums and percussion. Kathy Brown's slightly dampened vocals remain intact and a saxophone sample is used for the periods between her verses. This softer mixes is less energetic than other mixes because the wurlitzer used give a solemn feel to the track and the way in which tumble down in the last 1/3 of the song is reminiscent of classic US garage.

Firin' Dub
Crafted by Warren Clarke's own hand, the standard bass and tight percussion break loop for about 16 bars before a dancefloor-devastating growling bassline kicks in action. It's simple yet deadly, and combined with Kathy Brown's echoed vocal snippets, the Firin' Dub does exactly what its name suggests, especially when the bassline is emphasised with tech-house electro notes which are laid directly over the track. The bassline is removed while the majority of Kathy Brown's vocal get increasing frantic and the tension explosed when the effects build to the huge breakdown and the bass gets dropped back into the mix. Undoubtedly one of Defected's best ever mixes.
